Prepare a 3-4 page paper about a specific company AT&T, which includes the following information about your specific company:

History and Milestones - A history and major milestones for the company (considering time blocks in decades is helpful for most companies) including the mission and values of your company.

Mission and vision statements and what they mean. (Companies approach these in a variety of manners. You may find one or both of these or possibly your company has neither. If you cannot find both, indicate that in your paper).

The industry or industries the company operates within.

Key Competitors - A discussion of key competitors including a description of the major product lines or services of your company.

Your research in this first paper will be useful in preparing for the final project.

To choose your company in the Company discussion forum, indicate the company on which you want to work. The first student to post a company name gets to use that company.

This first assignment lays a foundation for your case study analysis. You should provide a detailed explanation that demonstrates clear, insightful critical thinking. Be sure to use correct spelling, punctuation, capitalization, varied diction and word choices, grammar, and APA format. The overall analysis should be 2-3 pages in length.

When you've completed your individual paper, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Dropbox by the end of the workshop. ;

For your reference, the final case study analysis paper on this company will be due in Workshop Six. The final paper will be 15-18 pages in length (APA standards) and contain the six distinguishable sections below as outlined in "How to Conduct a Case Analysis" in the textbook.Use the titles below as headers in your project submissions:

Section 1 Introduction in which you provide information regarding the history of the company, its mission, and vision statements and its major product lines or services. This will be followed by a discussion of the industry or industries that the company operates in. The conclusion of this assignment will discuss the major competitors in this industry. This section of the paper will be based primarily on your research. Length 2-3 pages.

Section 2: External Analysis in which you provide an analysis of the external environment using the PESTEL framework and Porter’s Five Forces. This is followed by a discussion of the strategic grouping of the industry. The paper ends with a discussion of opportunities and threats. This section of the paper will be based on a combination of your research, the text concepts and some creative thinking on how the external environment works. Length 3-4 pages.

Section 3: Internal Analysis in which you will include information about the financial health of the company. This section should contain the calculation of relevant profit ratios, activity ratios, leverage ratios, liquidity ratios, and market ratios and answer any crucial financial questions. This is followed by a discussion of the internal strengths and weaknesses of the company. This section of the paper will be based on your research, the text concepts, your financial ratio analysis and some creative thinking regarding the internal environment. Length 3-4 pages.

Section 4: Diagnosis in which you aggregate all the information from Sections 1, 2 and 3 and describe the major problem(s) and opportunities facing the company at this point in time or in the near future. This paper is based on your analysis to date and text concepts. No new research material is presented in this part of the paper. Length 2-3 pages

Section 5: Formulation in which you propose at least three feasible solutions and test them against possible alternatives. This section of the paper is based on your creative thinking regarding applying the text concepts to your company’s situation. No additional research is required. Length 3-4 pages.

Section 6: Implementation in which you detail how the company should put into action the solution(s) proposed in the Formulation stage. This section of the paper is based on your creative thinking regarding applying the text concepts to your company’s situation. No additional research is required. Length 2-3 pages.
