Complete the preliminary stages of the Big Idea Curriculum Development document for Part A of this assignment. 

You must:

  • Complete four anecdotal observations and reflections using videatives that clearly demonstrate a common and pervasive interest
  • Identify the “Big Idea” from the observations
  • Write a rationale for the “big idea,” explaining why you chose that big idea topic. This must be 3–5 sentences long.
  • Create a web to document your big idea.

o    This web must be completed on a large poster board or flip chart paper which is to be presented on your display/documentation board. If you do not have access to a physical documentation board you may create your display online using a chosen software program of your choice.

o    It must contain at least six initial concepts and several sub-concepts that relate to the big idea, as well at least 20 experience ideas based upon the big idea. You must also identify the curriculum area of each idea. These will be differentiated in some way such as by using colour. 

o    This web may be hand written and submitted through photos. Be sure that your writing is legible and that the photos are clear enough to be able to read all content. You may need to take several photos of the web in sections, as well as one photo of the entire web.
