Exercises to develop your creative attitudes
Directions. In each of your attitudes from Part A you will
have either an A or a B in the four
summary ratings of the four attitudes. Select two attitudes that
you would like to work on. Review the exercises below and select one exercise
to complete for each of the two attitudes you’ve chosen. In the end you’ll have
done two exercises throughout the week. Please take notes on your experiences,
as you’ll use these notes for your reflective writing in class during our next
class meeting.
Improving
your courage
Fear of appearances. Choose to challenge your fear of expressing an intuitive idea.
Whether in a meeting or in a casual conversation, turn your fear of looking
foolish into exploration energy. Remember that you can introduce your idea with
“What if?” Use this exercise at least three times over the course of the week.
How does this help you to be more creative?
Increasing your passion
Express yourself. Pick something that you believe
in deeply or something that has touched you. Spend some time thinking about it
and feeling it. Then write about it, or paint it, or compose a poem about it or
write a song about it... in some way, manifest your connection with this
something so that it comes alive. When your creation is finished, share it with
someone you trust. Keep your creation to remind you of this passionate
connection. How does passion help you to be more creative?
My NOTE: Please be advised that you only have
