This course explores consumer behavior and analyzes methods that motivate consumers to purchase products and/or services.  It also explores the factors that influence the buying process.  As consumers, we have all experienced a change in our buying behaviours due to COVID-19. We have had to respond and adapt to the challenges that COVID brought to us. 

For this post, you are required to research an article that discusses a change in consumer behaviour as a direct result of COVID-19.   

In your post, you are required to:

  • Include a link to the article
  • Summarize the article, focussing on the changes in consumer behaviour that were outlined. Be detailed about the changes, and explain why they occurred.  You must include a minimum of two distinct adaptations that consumers and/or businesses made.   
  • Provide your own perspective in terms of whether these changes will continue post COVID.  Relating specifically to what you have learned, will consumers revert back to pre COVID behaviour, or will the adaptations we made continue once COVID is over?  For example, there are many articles that reference the increase in online shopping in certain product categories.  If this is a topic included in your article, what will happen post COVID?  Will consumers revert back to in store shopping, or will the increase in online shopping continue? 
  • Comment on at least two other posts from your classmates.  Your comments should add additional value to the post.
