Description

A patient in a hospital needs at least 18 grams of protein,6 milligrams of  vitamin C and 5 milligrams of iron per meal, which consists of two types of food,A and B.Type A contains 9 grams of protein,2 milligrams of vitamin C and no iron per mass unit.Type B contains 3 grams of protein,2 milligrams of vitamin C and 5 milligrams of iron per unit mass. The energy value for A is 800 kilogram and that of B is 400kilogram.There are x mass unit of A and y mass for B on patient's plate.

Give in terms of x and y

1.The mathematical constraints which must be satisfied.

2.The objective function which gives the kilojoules intake per meal.

3.Represent constraints graphically scale 1unit:40mm.

4.From the graph:

4.1the value for X and y which will give  the minimum kilojoule intake per meal for patient.

4.2The amount of kilojoule  which are taken in by lthe patient in this case.
