After personally and professionally experiencing unsatisfactory feedback from rubric-graded assessments I question their usefulness-especially when the entire online programs are graded and completed through those means. So I want to explore if there is a gap between what they (rubric) are designed to do and what they are actually doing. My current topic - Correlating metacognition through rubric-based assessments with the development of self-regulatory strategies in e-learners. Too comprehensive or too specific or invalid and unmeasurable?
