Description
The 2-page essay (double spaced, 12pt. Times New Roman font with 1” margins) on the unit #1 exam topic is a human being’s ethical responsibilities to society and the world. You must discuss, in mostly your own words, the responsibility people have to their own society, other cultures, and the entire world. I want your opinions and views, but feel free to include the views of the major philosophers we have already discussed (especially Plato and Aristotle).
To help those who may not be sure about what responsibilities might be included, I have posted the United Nations’ “Universal Declaration of Human Responsibilities” which lists many of them. Remember, as in our discussions, if you directly quote, or even indirectly use a source, you must use parenthetical references.
