Description

This forum looks at race and/ or socio-economic status playing a part in the criminal justice system. As you have read, race and/ or socio economic status informally plays a part in whether suspects are given preferential treatment during the course from arrest to sentencing. Even though this appears to be unfair to those in these classes, it has existed through the ages. QUESTION: What I want you to discuss is what can be done to eliminate social class and/or racial bias in sentencing? NOTE: You should write a minimum of 4 paragraphs in your thread. Remember to give supportive evidence to your position. The higher scores will be earned by students who cite references to our text and other course materials when applicable.
