• Using MATLAB (Or GNU Octave) develop a matrix population model of a selected species
• Use design principles such as teamwork, brainstorming, MCDA, and flow charts (life cycle graphs), to design the model
• Use project management tools, such as Gantt charts, to effectively manage the execution of the project
• Use skills from other modules such as Technical Communication, to effectively communicate the results of the modelling process
• Learn about other science disciplines (population ecology) to prepare for a trans-disciplinary
world after graduation
