DIPLOMA IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES First, a few words on how to use the course: It is entirely up to you whether you spend all your waking hours on it, or spread the load over several months. Some of you will read more thoroughly or more thoughtfully than others, so we cannot dictate how long you should spend. We would suggest that reading a module (preferably at least twice), doing the tasks and exercises, and writing two essays is unlikely to involve less than 20 hours’ study. Further reading would be in addition to this.
