Please discuss
the following essay question:
Environmental concern
about climate change,
gaseous emissions and noise is becoming an increasingly important political, economic and social
issue for aviation. Tackling the climate change issue is the latest major challenge
facing global aviation. The
need to address aviation’s contribution to climate change is on the agenda of
national and international policy makers. If
you were a policy-maker,
how would you regulate
aviation operations considering climate change?
In your response, you are advised to consider the various ways of environmental
regulation and elaborate on their efficiency, effectiveness and political
feasibility. The use of examples from aviation and/or other industries can support your
arguments.
About
the essay:

The essay should be written in a traditional
essay style.
An essay is an academic form of
writing, which allows students to demonstrate their intellectual ability by
expressing arguments in clear, logical, well-structured prose.
·
Type the essay in Arial font using 1.5 line
spacing and justify alignment.
·
Word
limit: 2,500 words maximum (excluding
references).
·
The
individual essay must be submitted under the relevant submission heading via
loop and by Monday 11 May 2020 at
14:00.
·
Failure
to submit under the correct submission heading on appropriate DCU submission website
may result in your work not being registered as submitted.
Please note:
·
A
word count penalty of 10 marks will be deducted for any submission over the
maximum permitted word count.
·
There
is a late penalty of 5 marks for each day of delay until the 4th day when your
coursework will be considered as zero (unless extenuating circumstances have
been approved or an extension has been granted).
·
Remember
plagiarism is an offence and is dealt with seriously at the DCU. All essays
should fully reference sources of information using the Harvard Referencing
System or APA.
