NOTE: For these courses and all of the work for DCS904 these are
Computer Science courses so you have to add more images, algorithms, graphs,
images, mathematical analysis and statistical details more than textual
observations. Writing a paper is god but if you don't add these to all of the
work then she wont give me full credit. Please use the text book and additional
resources I have provided. You can use my login credentials.
The topic of discussion for this week is:
Discuss the terms compile-time, run-time, static and dynamic.
Suggestions to maximize effort:
1.
Discuss
what compile-time is; give examples.
2.
Discuss
what run-time is; give examples.
3.
Discuss
the difference between compile time and run time.
4.
Discuss
what static refers to; give examples.
5.
Discuss
what dynamic refers to; give examples.
6.
Discuss
the difference between static and dynamic.
The discussion coverage should be relating to compiler design. It
is important to go beyond general definitions of these terms, and explore the
implementation in terms of how compilers can be designed to handle these
topics. Please provide examples and label the examples if needed (i.e. Example
#1, Example #2, and so on) Please be as detailed and as thorough as possible.
Discuss in a scholarly manner. Visualizations of compiler components would
always help. Minimal of 6 paragraphs are required. Each paragraph should have
at least 5-10 sentences.
Here are some optional materials that hopefully can offer
some thoughts. You are encouraged to go above and beyond and research other
course-related information that may interest you. Please feel free to share
your findings with the class during discussion.

Start
by reading and following these instructions:
You are
responsible for minimally at least 3 posts for each question in your discussion
boards; your initial post and reply to two of your classmates. Your initial post(s) should be your response to the questions
posed in the discussion question. You should research your answer and cite at
least one scholarly source when appropriate, and always use quality
writing. The discussion board is never a place to use text language or
emoticons. You will also be asked to respond to your classmates. This is
designed to enhance the academic discussion around the topic. It is all right
to disagree with something posted by another, however your responses should
always be thoughtful and respectful and reflect your opinions professionally.
