Create a RACI chart with respect to the following project Scenario – see the above link that will assist with the specific definitions for the various tasks involved.  Indicate why you selected the specific association –e.g. Why R was selected, or A as selected, etc.

SCENARIO:  Jennifer Jones, Director of HRS at Sunshine General Hospital, wants to revise the current policies and procedures with respect to Release of Information (ROI) as new legislation governing access to Patient Information was recently introduced. 

Complete the RACI chart on page 2 or create the RACI matrix in excel (as per the website) for each of the by the following staff:

·         Director of Health Records Services (HRS)

·         Privacy Director of Sunshine General Hospital

·         Hospital Legal Representative

·         HIM Release of Information staff

Tasks:

1.     Review and determine which parts of the legislation would impact Hospital

2.     Determine impact of new legislation on Health Records

3.     Draft Policies & Procedures for Health Records to incorporate requirements of new legislation

4.     Discussion with Privacy Director of Final draft of Policies and procedures for ROI

5.     Create draft of Policies and Procedures for HRS

6.     Train/Educate Release of Information staff on new procedures.

7.     Approval of final policies and procedures for Release of Information.

8.     Applying the new concepts in processing ROI requests
