Chronic stress, however, can be very harmful to health and leads to long-‐term, pathological changes. Describe the physiology of the stress response: include the various stages and what physiological processes occur during each stage and how these changes are beneficial for dealing with a stressor. Include how chronic stress impacts overall health and how this is an extension of the beneficial things that the acute stress response does.
