You are going to design your first tool applying basic tool design principles and procedures. Follow the design procedure from textbook page 141. 1. Analyze the part drawing and production plan for the Sleeve (see page 2) to determine all the information necessary to design template jig for drilling six Ø 0.38 inch holes. Write this information down in an orderly manner as per the design procedure (10%) 2. Locate the part properly – show all necessary sketches and calculations as per the design procedure (40%) 3. Locate the bushings properly – show all necessary sketches and calculations as per the design procedure. Calculate bushing hole size to get press fit (30%) 4. Design the jig and source necessary standard elements (bushings, clamps, pins etc.) needed to build the tool. Show all necessary sketches and information for standard elements (20%)
