There are several ways to categorize virtual schools – such as delivery method, curricula, type of student. Using the Barbour-Reeves article on the reality of virtual schools, the Wicks article on K-12 Online Learning, and one student-selected article as guides, the student will develop an essay no longer than 2000 words that outlines the most helpful way to describe forms/models/types of Virtual Schools. Responses should include specific student populations, such as those with Individual Education Plans (students who are gifted or who have identified special needs), those requiring remediation, and those needing coursework not available in their setting.
