Discuss how Human Factors Engineering Concepts and Analysis Methods can help understand the user experience, re-engineer the workflow process and be used in the design, and implementation of health IT. Choose an example of a workflow process and discuss how there can be a difference between “work as imagined,” versus “work as done” for that process. Do this by identifying the different perspectives of the health IT user, management, and health IT administrator (or others involved in the process). Now discuss a HFE Concept (eg. Engineering for Resilience) that can be the focus for re-engineering the process. Choose two Human Factors Analysis methods that you would use to better understand the true work being done, and describe how you would use them. State at least two roles that would be part of the re-design team and what their responsibilities would be. Identify two redesign techniques that you would choose to redesign the process and why you chose them. Cite at least 2 journal articles in your discussion.
