The purpose of this assignment is to get a chance to meet a professional in your related area, do research about them and have a face-to-face conversation and tour of their facility. Here are the instructions for your interview assignment.
CHOOSE AN INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL TO INTERVIEW
You might select a hotelier, travel profession, a special events planner, cruise ship professional, restaurant Chef or manager, recreations supervisor, rec therapist or any other hospitality professional if you are an HRT major. Remember, you must interview a supervisor and he/she may not work for the same entity that you work or have worked. If you are not an HRT major, find a professional in your profession.
SET UP AN INTERVIEW
Set up your interview and ask for a tour following your interview if the business has a facility to tour, not just offices. Post the date, time, name of interviewee and location in this assignment.
Research your interviewee on the Internet. Include the information that you find online in your assignment. Make sure to review their LinkedIn profile and get pre-qualification questions from there as well. If your interviewee does not have LinkedIn, find another professional to interview.
