6- Vision Statement

a)    A description of the problem being solved by the new system.

 There is a problem with students having trouble finding either supplemental learning material or a place to discuss issues they experience throughout learning new subjects. Students have always looked for ways to communicate amongst each other and share course material in an effective safe way unfortunately they are usually tailored for different groups of people.

b)    A high-level description of the solution

A solution to this problem would be to develop a free online tool for students to connect to a  database that collects all assignments, information, and supplemental material on different courses provide a platform to discuss with their peers.

c)     A list of the system’s main features.

Features include:

·         Student and tutors can be able to login

·         Students and tutors can be able to upload, edit or remove any comment

·         Students can be able to view, print and comment

·         Students can be able to browse and search by subjects

·         Tutors can be able to see the database

·         Students can be able to fill out a survey

·         Students can be able to chat with the tutors

7- Stakeholders

Our project has 2 main stakeholders which are the users/ members (Students and Tutors), and the system administrators/ developers.

Users (Students/ Tutors): Users can use the system by registering and signing in as a student or a tutor. Tutors shall choose the subject that they are teaching, and the students can pick the subject they are working on.

System Administrators/ Developers: The project team members who have direct roles in project management activities, also to provide update to the users based on their requirement and expectations, support, and maintain to the working system.
