The assignment should include: A cover page with your name and the name of the research topic An outline of the various parts of your paper (an abstract, introduction, conclusion, reference section, and at least 3 additional content sections) At least 3 references listed in full APA format (URLs alone are not acceptable) to show where each reference will be used within the paper APA formatted reference section listing sources used Introduction: In this section, state the basis of the topic that you will present. Discuss how this analysis will be based upon the (ISC)2 concepts studied in this course. Questions to be answered: In your research project, you will answer the following questions being sure to list subheadings corresponding to your Table of Contents. What was the crime or breach? How did the crime or breach become known (e.g., IDS, logs, informer, etc.)? What were the incident responses? How was the incident discovered? 

 What investigative tools, forensic tools, or other techniques were used? How was the public/customers informed? Discussion, Implications, and Recommendations: In this section, you should provide a thorough discussion of your findings and the implications of your study. More specifically: What are recommendations (technical and human policy) to prevent future similar crimes or breaches? References: You cannot use your textbook as your primary source of Information. You must draw on other sources such as books, websites, business journals, legal and compliance journals, government agencies, professional associations, industry standards, etc. Be sure that you support the information presented with appropriate References. It is important that all references and quotes are cited correctly. 

All sources, including websites, must be referenced in APA formatted references list. If you have questions about the format or content of references, discuss it with your instructor. Format: Keep in mind that all accepted rules of English composition apply. Papers must be word-processed, double-spaced, and have standard margins (1 Inch on each side). Length: The length of the paper, excluding cover page and references, is 8 to10 pages. The final grade for the Research Project will be a composite of the scores on the following deliverables: Module 4: Outline due Module 6: Draft due Module 7: Final research project due
