 The numerical sections of this assignment - i.e. parts (a) and (c) - carry only 35 marks. The other 65 marks are from the essay sections. 

 The essay sections have an overall upper limit of 2000 words (that is a maximum, not a minimum). Keep the mark allocation for each section in mind when deciding on its length – thus, about 800 words for part (b) and about 600 words each for parts (d) and (e).


Marking grid: 70-100 Excellent standard, demonstrating a thorough understanding of theoretical and practical issues, with good evidence of research knowledge; good analytical skills showing insight. Very well presented, with well-planned, logical sequence, clear writing style, and complete and accurate referencing. 60-69 Good, comprehensive answer demonstrating a sound knowledge of theoretical and practical issues; evidence of research knowledge and analytical skills. Good presentation, with adequate referencing. 50-59 Mastery of basic concepts and knowledge, and adequate attempts at linking theory to practice; some weaknesses in analytical skills, and omissions in referencing. 40-49 Adequate understanding of basic concepts; discusses subject area with little depth; some analysis and attempts made at linking theory to practice. Answer contains some irrelevant materials and/or inaccuracies. Inadequate referencing. Below 40 Fails to demonstrate knowledge of subject; material is largely unrelated to subject, or contains major inaccuracies or omissions or indications of unsafe practice. Poor referencing. 


 Completed resit coursework assignments should be submitted by Monday 20 April 2020.
