Description

Video editing:

The process of editing segments of motion video production footage, special effects and sound recordings in the post-production process.

All videos are made up from a sequence of still images - like photos - played very quickly.

Shot:

A single piece of film of any length or duration which is exposed by the camera being turned on, then off, a single time only.

Scene:

Continuous series of shots which define a specific dramatic and/or narrative moment.

Sequence:

A group of sequential scenes. The grouping should combine a specific set of dramatic and narrative imperatives. Using shots we make scenes and sequences which make up the entire film.
