Growing up as a youth in Chicago, Illinois sports and cheering for our team’s lives in your blood and traditions and team loyalty remains a serious business. Major League Baseball continues to lead the way with decades of corruptions. The year, 1919 and the Chicago White Sox were heavily favorites to win the World Series, the championship of baseball. Modern day baseball is currently dealing with a colossal scandal that questions the integrity of Americans favorite pastime, the current humiliation to the game has rocked the baseball and sports community. ESPN.com reported that the Houston Astros used technology to steal rivals baseball signals to give themselves an unfair advantage and help them win the World Series. The investigation and fallout is still brewing even though several of the accused perpetrators were suspended and many face possible lifetime suspensions from the game of baseball. The destruction and ripple effect will affect numerous entities that depend on the integrity and prosperity of Major League Baseball.
