Description

In this assignment, students are to interview an entrepreneur that has experience starting and growing a business or organization. These organizations may range from small businesses to large corporations to non-profit organizations, etc. 

Prior to the interview, students should research the organization that their assigned entrepreneur has founded/co-founded. A list of interview questions should be prepared before the interview that will cover everything that students want to ask the entrepreneur during the interview. Students should refer to the marking guide to get a sense of what questions to ask the entrepreneur during the interview. 

When contacting the entrepreneur, students should provide several possible dates and times to schedule the interview. 

After the interview, students will reflect upon the entrepreneur’s experiences and write a reflection piece on the entrepreneur’s experiences and your takeaways.

Students are to work in teams for this assignment. Teams will be assigned, as will the entrepreneur to be interviewed. Contact information for getting in touch with the entrepreneur will be provided.

Students should aim for between 1,000 and 1,500 words for this assignment. However, the content is what is important and students will not be penalized for longer or shorter word lengths.
