Paper Requirements:

1.     Hypothesis must be included in bold at the end of the background section of the paper.

2.     The paper must be written in APA format. The primary ways you will use APA formatting: title page, referencing, use of section headers, and writing style (clear, concise and direct no flowery language- see APA Style guide in assignment folder).

a.     Referencing must be in APA style (See links provided).  Any ideas or conclusions that are not your own (information that you have learned), you must cite – give credit to the person that had that idea!

b.     Section headers are required in your paper. They should follow this format name of section: and something descriptive of the paragraph(s) in that section (e.g. “Background: Overview of the obesity epidemic in the United States”). The headers should be italicized and on their own line.

3.     The 2 Scholarly research articles used in the literature review must have methods/results sections. You may use as many extra review articles to help with your background or support your writing, but there must be at least 2 studies that are discussed in great detail.

4.     Describe the background, method, results, and conclusions of the 2 research articles.

5.     In the Analysis section provide your own “take” on the topic in the form of a critical analysis. You MUST show that you have gone beyond a summary, and have critically thought about the topic.

6.     For the conclusion/recommendations sections you must end with your conclusion on the topic, which must include recommendations for intervention. Remember the recommendations for intervention must be evidence-based, meaning based on the research you have done.

7.     Papers should be between 4-8 pages double-spaced, 12-pt font, with additional, separate title page and reference page not included in page length. Please include page numbers.

8.     NOT required other APA style formatting, such as running heads or an abstract

9.     Reference page: Only include references of papers that YOU have read. If you have any questions about how to correctly cite a source, please ask, but also see (APA formatting.

10. Attach or copy and paste the Abstract of your 2 scholarly research articles to the back of your paper so that I can read the abstracts. It is not necessary to include any other abstracts.
