University of Essex
Essex is a public research university in Essex, England established in 1963, and received its Royal Charter in 1965. According to the REF, Essex was ranked among the top twenty universities in the UK in the year 2014 for its research. Essex ranked among the top 50 universities for social sciences and law in the THEW. University had produced notable alumni in several fields.
The university receives Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher Education, in 2009 for advancing the practice of international human rights. Famous landscape painter John Constable once painted the main campus, of Essex “Wivenhoe Park”. The university is situated in a total area of 200 acres. The Essex Business School opened in 2015, believed to be the UK's first zero-carbon school.
The University of Essex has a large number of the international student whose country of origin is outside the UK. In the year 2015, it was more than 2,000 student 50% of which are postgraduate and 40% are the undergraduate student.
