University of Bradford

Bradford University is a public university in Bradford, England. Bradford became a university in 1966 but its origin can be traced back to 1832. The university received its royal charter in 1966. The university was the first higher education institute to open a business school in the UK. It was also the first British university to open a Department of Peace Studies, in 1973. The main university campus was built around Richmond Road. The university enrolls 10,960 students in 2016/17 of which 8,045 are undergraduate, and 2,915 are a postgraduate student. The University ranked among the Top 50 English Universities based on research funding (HEFCE 2009–10).
